Established avionics authority Mark Francetic, has joined the Apex Aviation executive team, on a part-time basis, as Director of Business Development. His mission is to increase the ever-growing Part 25 business jet clientele at Apex.
With over 36 years of experience in the avionics industry, Mark has been featured in over 14 publications and magazines and has developed many STCs along the way. Francetic’s most recent position was Regional Avionics Sales Manager at Duncan Avionics where he developed many avionics systems training programs and seminars and presented them at over 30 locations throughout the US and Mexico, including NBAA and AEA events.
Originally from Michigan, Mark graduated from Ferris State University with a degree in Avionics. He immediately sought a warmer climate and started his career in California before moving to Las Vegas in 1982. In addition to 23 years working in various capacities at Duncan Avionics, Francetic has worked for EG&G, Johnson Controls, Precision Avionics & Instruments, Union-Pacific Railroad and Tiger Air.
Francetic holds an A&P license and serves on the Honeywell Board and the Bendix King Dealer Advisory Board.
Mark joined Apex Aviation in Henderson, NV for several reasons.
“It’s very satisfying to see a company that wants to grow. I have a lot of ideas, and I want to see that growth through. I believe that the people make the company, and at Apex Aviation, I found employees who are very friendly and professional and a management team who backs their employees. ”
Francetic’s pursuit of avionics is the result of an original wish to fix satellites above the earth. (We’re glad he stayed grounded with avionics.) And his enthusiasm has not waned. “What’s great about avionics is that the industry experiences change every single year, and there are innovations continually coming around the corner.”
Professional expertise aside, Mark is a Sci-Fi movie buff, and he collects gems and minerals in his spare time.
